Hwa Rang Do is a Korean martial art containing thousands of kicking and punching combinations, weapons, joint manipulations, throws, ground fighting techniques, as well as ki development, meditation, and healing arts. There is no other martial art that can match its comprehensive curriculum and remarkable versatility.

Hwa Rang Do Madison has served south central Wisconsin for over a decade. It is directly affiliated with and sanctioned by the World Hwa Rang Do Association and Dr. Joo Bang Lee, Supreme Grandmaster of Hwa Rang Do. The ancient art of Hwa Rang Do and undergraduate program, Tae Soo Do are both taught at the Madison Academy.

Elver Park demo today at 7pm! (July 3rd)

Today, the Academy of Hwa Rang Do will be giving a martial arts demo at Elver Park, just before the fireworks. Come out and watch! Starts at 7pm, at the bottom of the park's hill.

Please note that there are no Friday classes (East or West) due to the Holiday. East is also closed on Saturday, July 4th, and West is open gym from 9:00 to 10:30.

Testing on Saturday, followed by Black Belt Demo and graduation as well as Blash Sash ceremony!

Saturday is a big day! Testing will be followed immediately by spring Black Belt candidates conducting the final part of their test: A public demo of Tae Soo Do. This will then be followed by their graduation ceremony. Lastly, but certainly not least, will be a Black Sash ceremony to honor our newest Black Sashes. Please join us! Saturday, June 13th, Madison East. Testing at 9:30, Demo after that (probably around noon) and Blash Sash ceremony after that (around 1pm). Times are subject to change.
